Nuanse Entertainment is an independent film and video production company based in New York City. We are devoted to depicting multi-dimensional characters across every genre. Our work contributes to the perpetuation of a new narrative about the black experience.

Ashley Denise (Founder, Artistic Director)

Ashley Denise discovered her dream of writing for film and television while studying English at Yale University. In 2009, she moved to New York to pursue her career. She established Nuanse Entertainment, a boutique production company, whose goal is to create colorful characters for every genre. Projects include feature-length and short films, comedy sketches and music videos that have screened at festivals and showcases across the country. Her work has been featured on The Huffington Post, Comcast/Xfinity, IndieWire, Project Catalyst, kweliTV and the National Black Public Media Consortium.

Ricki Lynée (Head of Development)

Ricki Lynée is a Queens, New York native. She has trained at HB Studios; New Federal Theatre; the American Academy of Dramatic Arts; and received a B.A. in Theatre from Brooklyn College. She recently performed in The Tragedy at Hood:14542 (Hoodsical) (DGP Productions) in the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival. A few other stage credits include: Geoffrey and Jeffrey (KMJ Productions);Nocturnal (Pangaea Performance Ensemble); and The Yellow Wallpaper (St. Ann's Warehouse, Labapalooza Puppet Lab). Ricki also made her television debut playing Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the TV series: Frenemies on investigation Discovery.
